Step 3: Pair an iPhone and an Android phone
Setup is the same idea on every dongle. Plug in, then pair over Bluetooth.

Fix 4: When the adapter won't connect
If it drops or never shows up, work through these in order. This is the sequence I run on every dongle I own.
- Swap the USB port first. A charge-only port gives power, not data.
- Let it finish booting. An Android box starts slower than a passive dongle.
- Forget and re-pair. On an iPhone, open Settings → General → CarPlay and remove the device. On Android, forget the adapter in Bluetooth settings. Then pair from scratch.
- Check Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Both must be on. Toggle them off and back on if the link stalls.
- Update and restart both. Update the car system and your phone, power the car off and on, then restart the phone.
