The CPW-1 comes as one Apple-only model, so the real choice is how you want CarPlay to reach the screen. Here's the short version so you can decide before you spend:

The CPW-1's whole job is dropping the cable. It changes nothing about how CarPlay looks or what apps you get — those come from your iPhone. So buy it for the convenience of wireless, not for new features. Step 1: Confirm your car has wired CarPlay

The adapter converts a connection that already exists. So the first job is proving your car has one.

Fix 4: When the Rexing CPW-1 won't connect

If the adapter loads once but drops, or never appears, work through these in order. They clear most cases.

1. Swap the USB port first. A charge-only port gives power but no data. This alone fixes a lot of dead links.
2. Forget and re-pair. On the iPhone, go to Settings → General → CarPlay, remove the adapter, then pair again from scratch.
3. Check Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The CPW-1 uses Bluetooth to find the phone and 5 GHz Wi-Fi to stream. Both must be on. Toggle them off and back on if the link stalls.
4. Restart both. Turn the car fully off and on, and restart the iPhone. Confirm only one phone is actively paired, since a second phone can grab the 5 GHz link.
